By bringing together best-in-class physician entrepreneurs, we strive to improve care and outcomes for our patients and providers alike. Today, we have 90+ providers across two states (GA and IL) and are expected to more than double our platform size by the end of 2026. We have a lean corporate team headquartered in Dallas, Texas.


The Role: Nova is evaluating candidates for the position of Corporate Development Associate, who will assist with M&A sourcing, evaluation, diligence and execution. M&A is the lifeblood of the organization, and this individual will play a critical role in driving the strategy and execution of that function. This unique opportunity will offer direct exposure to company leadership including C-Suite executives and will also entail collaborating with our private equity sponsor. The candidate placed into this role will join a dynamic, collaborative, and highly experienced M&A team based in Dallas, TX. This individual will report to the Director of Corporate Development and will be the third full-time member of the highly experienced M&A team based in Dallas, TX. Key activities will include:

  • Evaluate potential acquisitions by analyzing the target’s financial statements, operational infrastructure, competitive landscape, and key performance indicators
  • Build pro-forma financial models and compile key metric dashboards
  • Assist with the due diligence process by monitoring and reporting on the progress of third-party diligence workstreams
  • Outbound calls and emails to high priority M&A targets
  • Coordinating with third parties on delivery of marketing collateral to key targets
  • Coordinating with Nova partner practices on their networks and key opportunities
  • Fielding inbound calls and coordinating the delivery of financial and operational data with selling physicians
  • Develop and present decks for the investment committee and Board of Directors highlighting the proposed valuation, historical drivers of financial performance, growth opportunities, investment risks, and potential risk mitigants
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to support the drafting of transaction-related legal documents
  • Conduct analysis evaluating contemplated de novo locations and other organic growth initiatives
  • Market intelligence and competitor tracking


 What You’ll Bring

  • A strong track record of transaction understanding, with investment banking, corporate development, private equity, and/or transaction advisory
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Highly organized and able to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines concurrently
  • Eager to take the lead on new projects and deliver quality results and recommendations with minimal direction
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is desirable, but not required


Compensation

The company provides an attractive compensation plan consisting of a market-competitive base salary and an annual performance bonus commensurate with experience.
