Location: Indiana, PA

Schedule: 25-30 hours/week at cafe, with additional hours for catering events (including nights & weekends)

We serve high‑quality coffee, delicious food, and homemade baked goods while supporting local and global missions. In addition to our café, we offer growing catering services for events throughout the region. A portion of our proceeds — and 100% of our tips — are donated to local, national, and international charities.

⭐Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, dependable Cook to support our expanding catering program at Riziki Café. This role requires someone who can cook all catering menu items, ensure exceptional presentation, and deliver the high quality our clients expect.

You will help cook for catering events, deliver and serve on‑site, and represent Riziki Café with professionalism and warmth. This position also includes assisting on the café line during regular service hours to keep daily operations running smoothly.

To succeed in this role, you must be detail‑oriented, efficient, and committed to producing beautifully presented, consistent, high‑quality food. Since catering events often happen outside our café hours, we need availability on nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cook all catering menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure exceptional presentation and consistent quality for every catering order
• Load, deliver, and serve at catering events with professionalism and warmth
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• Assist on the café line during breakfast and lunch service
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Manage prep lists, restocking, and rotation as needed
• Represent Riziki Café’s mission and hospitality at all times

Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy and consistency
• Drug‑free, maintaining a professional and safe work environment
• Basic kitchen experience preferred; willing to train the right person
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Positive attitude and team‑first mindset
• Must be available for nights and weekends for catering events

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Experience in catering or high‑volume cooking
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
