Job Summary
Lead facility maintenance operations, workforce management, and project controls to ensure efficient building operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of maintenance teams (Foremen, Building Operators) in a unionized environment
- Manage work orders, maintenance activities, and asset tracking via CMMS/BAS systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements
- Lead scheduling, resource planning, and maintenance lifecycle initiatives
- Act as primary liaison between site teams, contractors, and leadership
- Drive incident management, emergency response, and reporting processes
- Manage inventory, procurement, and contractor coordination
- Track workforce utilization, costs, and operational performance
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Experience with CMMS/QFM and Building Automation Systems
- Proven leadership in union/non-union environments
- Expertise in compliance, safety, and facility operations
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience in large facilities (hospitals, transit hubs, commercial buildings)
- Certifications such as PMP, FMP, or LEED
