The Controller serves a vital piece of the organization and will report to the President.


In this role, the Controller will oversee the money flowing in and out of the company. The Controller will need to work with clients, vendors and coworkers on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. They will also be responsible for keeping the records up to date via QuickBooks Online.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Process banking files with the company’s bank

· Review, audit and execute Accounts Payable

· Setup billing process for new clients

· Review and manage the Accounts Receivable process on an ongoing basis

· Process and track all financial data within QuickBooks Online

· Reconcile current bank accounts

· Forecasting and financial health data to be provided on an ongoing basis

· Tracking and reporting the Budget

· Assist with Corporate tax filings

Skills

· Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, billing operations, or finance

· Experience with ACH processing required

· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online preferred

· Experience with TPA systems

· Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

· Experience with multi-state tax matters preferred

· High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills

· Ability to manage confidential financial information


Education/ Experience:

· A qualified candidate will understand that our business objective is to provide personalized service. Growth and experience will determine the level of responsibilities and duties assigned.

· Previous experience in benefits management, customer service or accounting-related field is preferred but not required.

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.


Position Type and Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salaried position. Days and work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, or as otherwise assigned. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Upon successful introductory period, employee may be offered a HYBRID schedule with 1-2 days as Work from Home.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and the Microsoft Office Suite.
