Schneider Electric Systems USA, Inc. seeks a Control Systems Field Service Engineer in Richfield, OH.
Job Description: Configure and troubleshoot Triconex Safety Systems and Modicon PLCs in field environments. Work independently, travel to supporting installed base SE Schneider Electric customer sites throughout Ohio and adjacent states plus occasionally to other regions of the US. Use experience with SE Triconex and Modicon to support installed base customers. Use expertise in Schneider Ecostruxture Process Expert (EPE) Hybrid DCS to provide product support to customers. Plan system upgrades and write upgrade plans, conducting testing in a staging or field environment. 100% remote eligible, but must live within commuting distance of Richfield, OH worksite. 75% domestic travel, primarily within Ohio, required to customer sites for troubleshooting, commissioning, staging, and startup.
Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in design engineering DCS/PLC systems, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Troubleshooting and supporting Triconex, Modicon, and Wonderware; Designing process control, networking, secured systems, and PLC’s; Working at customer manufacturing facilities to troubleshoot, commission and solve problems in SE control systems (Modicon and Triconex); Diagnosing issues and working with remote global support to solve the cases; Documenting and reporting technical work scope status and completion through field service reports for the client; Designing hardware and software for Modicon and Triconex systems using standard tools (Ecostructure Control Expert, Ecostructure Process Expert, Aveva System Platform, and Tristation programming applications).
