Join a global leader in the magnet wire industry as a Control Systems Engineer. With over 120 years of innovation, our client supports various industries including automotive, energy, and industrial sectors. As the electric vehicle market expands, the company is growing its facility in Johnson County, Indiana, by 60,000 square feet. You will be integral in providing technical support and integrating new automated equipment to facilitate this expansion.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC applications including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Omron systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for designing panels and schematics.
- Collaborate with other engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers.
- Provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery.
- Interface with technical resources to procure new parts.
Essential Skills
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Omron and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- More than 5 years of experience using AutoCAD for electrical designs and schematics.
- Experience with the Ignition SCADA platform.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Background as an OEM machine builder.
- Experience with SQL Server.
Work Environment
This position supports the Franklin, IN site within a climate-controlled industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves minimal travel and operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 8 AM to 4 PM and minimal overtime expected at 45 hours per week.
