Pay Rate: $54 – $57.30 / hour on W2 only
Job Type: Contract 12 months with possible extensions or C2H
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (1st Shift)
Work Arrangement: On-site or Hybrid depending on location
Job Description:
Summary
We are seeking experienced Controls Engineers to design, develop, and optimize automation and control systems within advanced manufacturing environments. This role involves working on diverse automation projects, supporting system launches, and enhancing production efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including piping and wiring diagrams
- Create and configure electrical control panels
- Develop and implement PLC and HMI software
- Support system testing, debugging, and commissioning
- Provide technical assistance during installation, startup, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support automation and manufacturing initiatives
- Assist in training plant personnel on control systems and equipment
- Travel to manufacturing or project sites as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (e.g., Rockwell and/or Siemens platforms)
- Experience with industrial automation systems and controls hardware/software
- Working knowledge of servo drive systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools
- Understanding of electrical and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering or automation
- Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Work Environment & Schedule
- Standard Monday–Friday, day shift schedule (approximately 40 hours/week)
- Hybrid or onsite work environment depending on project requirements
- Occasional overtime may be required based on project timelines
- Potential travel to plant or supplier locations
