Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is currently seeking a contract Legal Recruiting Assistant to support one of our prestigious law firm clients for a hybrid assignment in Washington, DC.

Pay Rate: $26/hour
Location: Washington, DC; hybrid work schedule
Duration: through summer at least, potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:
Application Management:
- Review, process, and organize candidate applications, including resumes and other materials.
- Prepare candidate files and interview evaluation packets.
Interview Coordination:
- Assist with all aspects of the on-campus interview process.
- Assist with scheduling both virtual and in-person interviews using internal tools and systems.
- Maintain candidate files and schedules for interviews.
Professional Communication:
- Communicate professionally with law students, attorneys, and law school career services offices.
- Monitor and manage the Legal Recruiting Outlook email account, ensuring timely responses and organized inquiries.
Post-Offer and Onboarding Support:
- Support post-offer processes, including material collection, tracking offer calls, and preparing onboarding documentation.
- Handle offer letters and candidate acceptances, keeping all involved parties updated.
Summer Associate Program Assistance:
- Track pre-arrival information, draft arrival notices, schedule orientation sessions and exit interviews.
- Assist in planning social events and training programs.
Lateral and Judicial Clerk Candidate Support:
- Assist the Legal Recruitment Manager with organizing lateral associate and judicial clerk applications.
- Prepare candidate summaries for hiring partner review and liaise with select search firms.
Database and Record Management:
- Maintain the legal recruiting database, viRecruit, with current and accurate candidate information.
Financial Coordination:
- Coordinate payments for new and lateral associate hires, including bar fees, clerkship costs, moving, and travel expenses.
Administrative Support:
- Answer the Recruiting Department main phone line and direct calls as appropriate.
- Prepare correspondence for potential candidates and incoming legal personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; proofreads accurately, efficiently and dependably.
- Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
- Exercises confidentiality and discretion.
- Demonstrates use of good judgment and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Balances competing priorities and works efficiently under the pressure of meeting multiple deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team.
- A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job; accepts responsibility and takes initiative.
- A college degree is strongly preferred.
