Role Objective

The Project Manager oversees multiple commercial HVAC projects from preconstruction through closeout. They manage budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractors, financials, and client relationships, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery. This role serves as the main point of contact for clients and GCs while leading internal coordination using tools like Procore and Bluebeam.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all project operations from NTP to closeout: budgets, CPM schedules, submittals, buyout, and field coordination.
  • Manage financials—cost forecasting, revenue tracking, pay apps, change orders, and margin protection.
  • Ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence through field teams and subcontractors.
  • Maintain strong client and GC relationships.
  • Mentor assistant PMs and model company values.


Typical Project Load:

  • 4–10 active projects worth $4–$10M annually
  • Individual job sizes range from $200K–$3M (up to $10M occasionally)
  • Focus on HVAC-heavy commercial work: schools, retail, light industrial
  • All projects are local (within ~50 miles of Atlanta)


Ideal Candidate Profile

Education: Mechanical Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent HVAC experience)

Experience:

  • 1+ year as PM or 4+ years as APM at a mechanical contractor
  • Proven success managing budgets, schedules, and subs
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and install methods
