Become a vital part of a hospital team in Omaha, NE as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will interpret physicians’ scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, operate CT equipment, and perform CT imaging for patients across a mixed-acuity population including pediatrics through geriatrics.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years CT technologist experience.
- Experience working in a level 1 trauma center or high-acuity hospital environment preferred and required by client.
- Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program or equivalent.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Radiography (R) certification required. CT registry preferred.
- BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Experience with Siemens CT equipment and Bracco contrast injectors preferred.
- Must be capable of performing venipuncture and contrast administration as required by procedure.
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting and McKesson PACS required.
- Travel experience preferred. Candidate must not be currently employed (FT, PT, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity as per client radius rule.
- Driver’s license required at time of submittal to verify compliance with a 50-mile radius rule.
- Ability and willingness to comply with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Nights 1900–0700.
- Scheduled shift pattern: 3x12 night shifts (Sat–Mon noted in shift guidance).
- Orientation: Approximately 36–40 hours of department-specific orientation; 12 hours of additional orientation noted in order details.
- Department equipment: Siemens CT scanners; Bracco contrast injectors; 8 CT treatment areas.
- Charting system: EPIC. PACS: McKesson.
- Patient mix: Pediatrics through geriatrics; busy OR and ED cases; CT angiography, cardiac, perfusion studies common.
- Floating: May float between main campus and an off-site UC campus (stand-alone ER) and cover other imaging modalities as needed (MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound) depending on assignment.
- Additional client requirements: Level 1 trauma experience and prior travel experience preferred; radiation badge provided by client.
