Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager plays a key role in safeguarding GOAT USA by ensuring all products meet regulatory, safety, and ethical standards across the entire product lifecycle. This position is responsible for building and executing effective compliance programs, partnering closely with vendors, factories, and internal teams to maintain transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain. With a focus on operational excellence, this role drives process improvements, implements scalable compliance solutions, and proactively manages risk while adapting to evolving regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of apparel compliance requirements, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Compliance Manager

Job Purpose

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all GOAT USA products meet applicable regulatory requirements and comply with industry standards, including safety, labeling, sourcing, ethical, and manufacturing standards. This role oversees compliance throughout the product lifecycle, working closely with vendors, factories, and GOAT USA’s product development and production teams. The Compliance Manager plays a critical role in protecting the brand by mitigating risk and ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the supply chain.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor regulations related to apparel and accessories, including product safety, labeling, restricted substances, and suitability.
• Ensure all GOAT USA products comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including CPSIA, Prop 65, and other relevant state and federal standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures for all products.
• Review and approve testing reports and technical documentation from vendors and third-party partners to ensure compliance with GOAT USA’s standards.
• Partner with vendors to ensure compliance with labor laws, ethical sourcing standards, and regulations.
• Review social compliance audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to company compliance standards and manage the implementation of corrective action plans with vendors and manufacturers.
• Manage documentation and recordkeeping for audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations and proactively communicate impacts to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product development, production, and quality teams to ensure compliance is integrated early in the design and production process.
• Manage supply chain transparency and mapping across GOAT USA’s supply chain.
• Train internal teams and vendors on compliance requirements, best practices, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from partners and internal teams.
• Manage e-filing process and vendor submissions for e-filing.
• Review and update GOAT USA’s vendor manual and product safety manual as needed.
• Manage and execute GOAT USA’s sustainability compliance programs, including extended producer responsibility requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years of experience in apparel compliance
• Understanding of overseas supply chain for apparel companies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Full-Time, exempt.
• Normal working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends.

SALARY RANGE

The salary for this role is $100,000 annually. The salary offered will take into account a number of factors, including the applicant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus may be included as part of the compensation package offer.
