About the Role
The Compliance Manager executes the compliance program strategy across portfolio companies, working closely with Compliance leadership. This role helps turn risk-based program design into practice that creates a genuine culture of integrity throughout the business.
Compliance programs succeed when strategic direction translates into how people work. Compliance leadership sets the vision and tone for the compliance program; this role operationalizes that vision across portfolio companies through policies, training, communications, and initiatives that embed compliance and a culture of integrity in daily operations.
What You’ll Do
Compliance Program Management & Governance
- Execute and oversee the compliance program as designed and directed by Compliance leadership; ensure consistent implementation across portfolio companies
- Develop compliance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards; support executive and board reporting on program effectiveness
- Ensure consistency across portfolio companies while allowing entity-specific tailoring based on risk and business needs
Policies & Training
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies
- Design role-based training programs tied to behavioral compliance and ethics; track completion and maintain audit-ready records
- Support regulatory change monitoring and policy updates as needed
Ethics, Culture & Speaking Up
- Oversee Code of Conduct updates, communication, and governance
- Design and execute ethics culture initiatives and leadership communications that drive behavioral change
- Monitor compliance helpline, manage initial triage, and escalate as needed
- Track helpline and compliance reports; maintain documentation; support investigations as directed
Compliance Monitoring, Data & Technology
- Develop compliance dashboards, data analytics capabilities, and reporting frameworks
- Implement data and AI tools for compliance monitoring, insights, and automation
- Manage compliance technology stack and integrations; support risk assessments and monitoring as directed
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, HR, and other functions on compliance initiatives
- Serve as internal resource for compliance guidance and process rollout assessments
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and credibility; ability to model compliance and ethical values
- 3–5+ years of compliance, policy development, governance, or operations management in regulated industries (insurance, healthcare, finance, fintech, or similar)
- Experience executing and managing corporate compliance operations
- Demonstrated experience with ethics culture, tone at the top, or behavioral compliance initiatives
- Data analysis skills and ability to work with compliance technology systems and tools
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (DOJ ECCP principles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Compliance, or related field
- CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) or related relevant certification
- Experience in insurance or financial services
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, AI/automation in compliance, or compliance tech platforms
