LHH is seeking Compensation Manager candidates for an opportunity in Northern VA. This role will lead the design, administration, and analysis of compensation programs. This role manages equity plan administration, oversees annual cycles, and serves as system owner for the compensation module. The position ensures job architecture, compensation structures, and documentation remain accurate, competitive, and aligned with organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support analysis and administration of executive compensation programs (base salary, annual incentives, long‑term incentives).
- Develop executive compensation disclosures, tables, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and governance best practices.
- Oversee equity program administration (grants, vesting, exercises, distributions).
- Maintain accurate reporting and compliance across vendors and internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to tax, accounting, and securities regulations.
- Provide guidance and communication to plan participants.
- Lead annual merit and bonus planning, including budgeting, modeling, guidance, and reporting.
- Administer the compensation planning module (configuration, testing, workflows, reporting, user support).
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning.
- Support design and administration of incentive and recognition programs.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and job architecture frameworks.
- Partner with HRBPs and leaders to ensure appropriate leveling and internal equity.
- Maintain salary structures and organizational alignment.
- Deliver compensation modeling, scenario planning, and cost analyses.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership and the Compensation Committee.
- Ensure data integrity across HRIS, equity, and compensation systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international compensation regulations.
- Support internal/external audits related to compensation and equity.
- Maintain documentation and governance for defensibility and consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years progressive compensation experience
- Master’s degree preferred.
- CCP, CEP, or similar certification.
- Experience with HRIS compensation modules.
