This is a Full-time non-exempt position at 35 hours per week.
WHO WE ARE
Center for Family Life in Sunset Park (CFL) (https://centerforfamilylife.org), is a nationally recognized social service organization. CFL's mission is to promote positive outcomes for children and adults in Sunset Park, Brooklyn by providing a comprehensive range of neighborhood-based family and social services.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This is an excellent position for someone who wants to develop their career in social work or counseling while working with families and schools. This is a new position in the School-Based Early Support Program, a new preventive services model that enhances school-based partnerships. The Community Pathways Worker provides services to 8 families at a time across four different partner schools in Brooklyn School District (15 or 20) focused on case management and referrals to needed resources. The Community Pathways worker will also work with the School Outreach Liaison to implement the Families and Schools Together (FAST) program.

The Community Pathways Worker provides case management and group facilitation in the context of the school community. They are essential to developing effective school partnerships through intentional engagement strategies and supporting events and activities within the schools. They are an ambassador for CFL, interacting at all times with respect and kindness, generosity, and solution-focused problem-solving.
