Community Clinic Coordinator

Arizona Animal Welfare League
Phoenix, AZ

The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) – the oldest no-kill shelter in Arizona – is seeking a full-time bilingual Community Clinic Coordinator to fulfill a highly rewarding position assisting the community clinic veterinarians and as a key member of our community medical team at our low-cost AAWL’s Community Vet Clinic and Mobile Clinic.

The Community Vet Clinic’s mission is to provide low-cost veterinary services to the public while providing high-quality medical care. The Community Clinic Coordinator supports the delivery of accessible veterinary care through the Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) and off-site mobile community clinics. This position serves a dual role by providing veterinary assistant support and community care coordination, acting as a primary point of contact for community members who experience barriers to accessing veterinary services. They will demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, compassion, and a positive attitude.

The Community Clinic Coordinator communicates directly with clients to assess needs, coordinate appointments, and connect families with appropriate veterinary services, while also assisting veterinary staff during clinic and mobile operations. This role is essential to advancing organizational goals related to access to care, community engagement, and animal welfare.

The Community Clinic Coordinator reports to the Community Clinic Manager and works full-time. Clinic hours are Saturdays from 7am to 6:00pm and varying vaccine events; while there is scheduling flexibility within those hours this is a 4 or 5 day per week position that does require Saturdays for vaccine clinic.
