Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

The Commissioning Engineer is a field position that provides engineering and technical on-site support to projects to ensure safety and budget compliance. This role involves writing reports, conducting audits, troubleshooting, performing tests, and tracking progress throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners.
  • Brand and assemble collected materials for project manuals and reports.
  • Integrate with other Facility Solutions and Commissioning Associates.
  • Review, develop, and coordinate systems readiness and pre-functional and functional performance test drafts.
  • Conduct field observations to verify construction status.
  • Coordinate and participate in videography efforts associated with owner training.
  • Lead and mentor Facility Solution Associate I and II.
  • Implement activities identified by the Manager related to Operational Project Readiness (OPR) for MEPF technical assessment, coordination, and implementation.

Essential Skills

  • Skilled in validation testing, commissioning, construction, and MEPF systems.
  • Proficient in reviewing, testing, and documenting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for operational readiness.
  • Proficient in managing submittals, assembling manuals, and maintaining commissioning software platforms for document control.
  • Conducts site observations, verifies construction status, and ensures systems meet design and functionality standards.
  • Leads and mentors junior associates while collaborating with Facility Solutions and Commissioning teams.
  • Capable of performing heavy physical tasks and navigating challenging jobsite conditions including climbing, lifting, and exposure to outdoor elements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • CxP or CxA Certification.
  • Possess basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Highly proficient computer software skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to perform identified tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The work environment involves half on-site and half remote work. It requires physical exertion, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and exposure to varying temperatures and noisy environments. The role involves frequent communication, reading blueprints, and field measurements. The job also requires operating computers or tablets and other office machinery.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

401k, local projects, minimal travel.
