The Supply Chain Commercial Strategy Specialist supports sourcing and material estimating initiatives by developing cost-effective procurement strategies, assisting in material price estimation, and enabling data-driven decision-making across supply chain operations in energy, mining and metals, advance technologies and life sciences and nuclear projects. The role requires collaboration across all disciplines including Material Management, Engineering, Project Controls, and suppliers to optimize commercial outcomes and ensure competitive material pricing.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
Support development and execution of supply chain sourcing strategies
Prepare material price estimates, cost breakdowns, and cost models based on market data and supplier inputs
Leverage internal pricing database to develop accurate cost estimates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate commercial risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives
Support supplier engagement activities, coordinating RFQ issuance, driving thorough bid evaluations, and completing comprehensive commercial reviews
Analyze commodity trends, inflation indices, and supplier quotes to support budgeting and forecasting
Maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and pricing models to improve estimation accuracy
Support negotiations through data analysis, scenario modeling, and market intelligence

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three (3) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Other Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
2–6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or commercial analysis in industries such as energy, mining and metals, advance technologies and life sciences, and nuclear projects
Strong analytical and Excel/data modeling skills; familiarity with pricing or cost estimation tools preferred
Understanding of material pricing, commodity markets, or strategic sourcing concepts
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
