An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Litigation Associate with 4–5 years of experience to join a sophisticated and fast-paced litigation practice in Miami at a top 100 Am law firm. This role is suited to a driven and well-rounded attorney with strong advocacy skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on complex business disputes in state and federal courts.
The team cover:
- Cryptocurrency disputes
- Consumer class actions
- Trade secrets / unfair competition
- Contract disputes + business torts
- Financial services / lender liability work
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Conduct and manage written discovery and document production
- Research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings
- Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony
- Appear at status conferences and argue motions in state and federal court
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in settlement conferences and negotiations
- Work directly with partners and clients on strategic litigation matters
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
- 4–5 years of commercial or business litigation experience
- Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
- Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice in complex matters
- Federal court clerkship experience preferred but not required
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish strongly preferred
