Commercial Litigation Associate

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Litigation Associate with 4–5 years of experience to join a sophisticated and fast-paced litigation practice in Miami at a top 100 Am law firm. This role is suited to a driven and well-rounded attorney with strong advocacy skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on complex business disputes in state and federal courts.


The team cover:


  • Cryptocurrency disputes
  • Consumer class actions
  • Trade secrets / unfair competition
  • Contract disputes + business torts
  • Financial services / lender liability work


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and support complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Conduct and manage written discovery and document production
  • Research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings
  • Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony
  • Appear at status conferences and argue motions in state and federal court
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in settlement conferences and negotiations
  • Work directly with partners and clients on strategic litigation matters


Qualifications:


  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
  • 4–5 years of commercial or business litigation experience
  • Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar
  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice in complex matters
  • Federal court clerkship experience preferred but not required
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish strongly preferred
