This position involves intern-level engineering work for local government. Intern will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of street improvement and utility projects. The intern will work with the Engineering Department.
Number of hours is flexible. We will consider some remote work but would want an intern to be at the Hamilton Engineering office at least three days a week.
Contribute to plan preparation of street improvements, storm water, gas, water and sanitary sewer projects under direction of experienced engineering staff
Compete field assignments including data collection, inspection and surveying
Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and participate in meetings with engineers and other city staff
Actively pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or closely related field
Ability to communicate well with City engineering staff, property owners, contractors and the general public
Strong self-initiative and sense of urgency to meet deadlines
