The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Code Enforcement Officer to lead and improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Community Development department. The Code Enforcement Officer earns a competitive hourly salary of $21.83-$23.17/hour, based on qualifications. Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. This role will primarily emphasize responsibilities related to code, investigations, and regulation.
Job Summary
The purpose of this class within the organization is to ensure the safety and health of the citizens of Pearland by vigilantly enforcing the standards established by the ordinances approved by the City Council, State Laws, and International Code Council volumes as adopted in regard to dangerous buildings, accumulation of trash and debris, illegal dumping, vehicle violations, and other general nuisance violations.
This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
