Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is an exciting opportunity to support a large, globally recognized company by programming Mazak vertical mills using Mastercam and ensuring the seamless transition to new CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Program Mazak vertical mills using Mastercam based on 3D models.
  • Create or update manufacturing drawings using 2D and 3D CAD tools.
  • Convert legacy Mastercam programs into modern, clean, editable versions.
  • Prepare programs ahead of machine installation for immediate production upon arrival of new Mazaks.
  • Work closely with machinists and engineers to align programs and drawings with real-world machining needs.
  • Support two machining areas: aluminum housings and steel shafts.
  • Generate 2D drawings from 3D models and maintain documentation for future revisions.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in Mastercam.
  • 5+ years of programming experience, with 10+ years preferred.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, with CATIA preferred, but SolidWorks, Creo, or other CAD tools are acceptable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hybrid programmer/machinist comfortable collaborating in a union shop environment.
  • Comfortable creating programs from scratch.

Work Environment

This position primarily involves offline programming at a computer in anticipation of new CNC equipment. Once programming is complete, the role will require overseeing machining processes on the manufacturing floor. This opportunity provides a dynamic and collaborative environment to work with both engineers and machinists.

This is a Contract position based out of Euclid, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
