CNC Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to join their team. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator

Location: Traverse City, MI

Pay Range: $22/hr-$28/hr

Shift: 8am-5pm, M-F

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts to specified tolerances and finishes.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
• Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and securement.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure quality and consistency.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of G-code and editing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with measuring tools and quality control procedures.
