CNC Operator -1st or 2nd Shift - Pay up to $26/hr

Shift Details:

  • 1st shift - Monday-Thursday 6a-4:30p
  • 2nd shift - Monday-Thursday 6p-4:30a ($1 shift premium)
  • Weekend - Fri, Sat, Sun 6a-6p (work 36 hours, paid for 40) - Must work 36 to receive the full 40 hour pay

Job Description:

The CNC Operator sets up and runs CNC machines to produce high‑quality parts in a fast‑paced production environment. This role follows established procedures and work instructions, performs routine quality inspections using precision measuring tools, and works collaboratively with team members across departments to ensure defect‑free products and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Run CNC machines within the machining department area in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all rules, guidelines, and instructions, and perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.
  • Complete machine tool adjustments after receiving and documenting the required training.
  • Use measuring equipment and data collection sheets at defined intervals to monitor and verify product quality.
  • Operate common inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other specialized inspection equipment.
  • Produce defect‑free products with support and guidance from quality assurance when needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds safely and use a pallet jack to move materials as required.
  • Operate small hand tools for deburring, cutting, and other finishing tasks as directed.
  • Move product in and out of the department using a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Arrive on time and be at the workstation at the start of the shift, working scheduled hours as posted.
  • Collaborate with team members and interact effectively with all departments to support smooth production flow.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 2 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC operation on CNC mills and lathes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Experience performing quality inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production machining environment.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use a pallet jack and small hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing defect‑free products.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating Porta machining equipment.
  • Previous experience operating Sinico machining equipment.
  • Machine setup experience on CNC equipment.
  • Experience with quality inspection processes in an automotive or fastener manufacturing environment.
  • Team‑oriented mindset and ability to interact professionally with multiple departments.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
