CNC Machinist – Day Shift
Location: Mead, CO
Pay: $24–27/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | 40 hours
Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Role
This CNC Machinist position supports a precision machining operation in Mead, CO. You’ll work a steady weekday schedule running CNC equipment, assisting with setups, handling light assembly work, and keeping production moving efficiently. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working on the floor, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Operate CNC machines and assist with basic setups and job preparation
- Build tools, support fixturing, prep materials, and set work/tool offsets per instructions
- Load and unload parts, materials, and equipment
- Perform light assembly work as needed
- Monitor part quality and take accurate measurements using precision instruments
- Troubleshoot basic machining or production issues and escalate as needed
- Coordinate with supervisors and programmers on job status
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep work areas organized
- Accurately document measurements and production data
What You Bring
- 2+ years of CNC machining or operator experience
- Aerospace machining experience is a plus
- General machine shop background preferred
- Comfortable using CNC equipment, shop tools, and measuring instruments
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle physical work in a production environment
