Job Description:

The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing high-quality prototype and small-batch parts using CNC milling equipment. This role involves machine setup, operation, and inspection to ensure precision and conformance to specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with tight tolerances in a clean, well-equipped environment.


Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (4x10 schedule)


Responsibilities:

  • Run CNC vertical and horizontal mills to produce prototype and small production jobs from start to finish.
  • Set up and tear down precision machining fixtures and cutting tools per job instructions.
  • Verify conformance of finished parts using precision measurement tools.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Deburr and finish parts after machining.
  • Assemble machined components as needed for secondary operations.
  • Load and unload parts safely into CNC machines.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and identify process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
  • Experience operating CNC machining centers; DMG Mori or Haas experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in the use and care of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to work within tight tolerances and follow technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate a forklift, pallet jack, and overhead crane.
