The CNC Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls and CAM programming software.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
  • Utilize tooling, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for machine setup and maintenance.
  • Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when required for complex parts.
  • Maintain proper documentation of machining processes and quality checks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support assembly processes and plastics injection molding operations as necessary.

Experience

  • Proven experience with CNC programming and operation on CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, preferably with Fanuc controls.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programs for part design review.
  • Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, and tooling setup is a plus.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, materials (including plastics), and manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Basic math skills necessary for precise measurement calculations and process adjustments.
  • Additional skills such as welding, assembly, forklift operation, or knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies are advantageous but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated CNC Machinist to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment that values precision craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
