Position Summary

This role involves producing high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining tight-tolerance parts and a deep understanding of industrial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Machine equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs. (Citizen, Star, Miyano and Tornos experience preferred but not required)
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models specific to tooling applications.
• Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.
• Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, CMMs).
• Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes required for tooling applications.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on CNC equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.

Skills and Technologies

• Strong basic math skills.
• G-Code
• M-Code
• Blueprint Reading
• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
• CNC Lathe (Swiss Preferred but not required)
• Calipers, Micrometers, Drop Indicator, comparator etc.
• Program edits required
• Experience on Miyano and Tornos a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, engineering, or manufacturing preferred.
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a tooling or precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of steels, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes.
• Experience with CNC programming and CAM software.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35lbs.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work.
• Exposure to shop environment with machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids.

Compensation and Benefits

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Benefit Eligible

Projected Salary: $18-25 per hour (based on experience)
