Cloud Security Engineer – Multi‑Cloud Environment | Hybrid | $152k-$182k

I’m partnering with a leading professional services firm (1,000+ employees) that is investing heavily in its cloud and security capabilities. As the organization advances its multi‑cloud strategy, we are now seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with strong experience across AWS and GCP, plus familiarity with Azure.

This is a high‑impact role within a firm known for strong communication standards, polished client interaction, and a consulting‑style environment. You’ll work closely with cloud operations, on‑prem security engineering, and occasionally data science teams as the organization increases both cloud maturity and security posture.

The Role:

As the Cloud Security Engineer, you will:

  • Lead cloud security initiatives across AWS and GCP (Azure familiarity welcome)
  • Contribute to enterprise‑level cloud security strategy, architecture, and standards
  • Assess compliance reports, identify gaps, and create remediation strategies
  • Support an organizational goal of achieving extremely high security coverage across cloud environments
  • Engage in research and hands‑on experimentation related to AI and its intersection with security
  • Collaborate with cloud operations teams, IT security engineers, and cross‑functional technical groups
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats, including polished video presence
  • Operate with autonomy and ownership; this role suits a self‑starter comfortable without heavy micromanagement
  • Participate in occasional after‑hours work when required to support security operations

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong experience securing AWS and GCP environments (must‑have)
  • Working knowledge of Azure security practices
  • Demonstrated interest in AI security — home labs, self‑study, or practical application
  • Experience analyzing compliance reports and designing mitigation strategies
  • Cloud and/or security certifications, and active progression on certification paths
  • Ability to work effectively across cloud operations, security engineering, and business stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentability suitable for professional services environments
  • A proactive mindset and confidence operating independently in a distributed team

If you are a Cloud Security Engineer interested in advancing security in a multi‑cloud environment while working in a polished, professional, and collaborative setting, I’d be happy to share more details.
