Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Cloud Architect with over 10 years of expertise in cloud and infrastructure engineering. This onsite leadership role focuses on designing, implementing, and securing robust API Gateway solutions within Azure or AWS environments. You will be responsible for leading architectural design, mentoring technical teams, and ensuring the delivery of production-ready, scalable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable API Gateway solutions using Terraform and cloud-native services (AWS/Azure).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage automation scripts for deployment, governance, and testing within a DevOps framework.
- Microservices Integration: Architect complex microservices integrations and streamline deployment workflows.
- Technical Leadership: Act as the primary onsite lead, collaborating with stakeholders and managing communication between local and offshore teams.
- Best Practices & Compliance: Enforce industry standards for coding, security, and performance; ensure all architecture meets rigorous governance standards.
- Mentorship & Growth: Serve as a self-starter who can achieve goals with minimal guidance while mentoring junior engineers and supporting their career development.
- Problem Resolution: Provide rapid troubleshooting for complex cloud architecture and deployment issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering or Cloud Architecture.
- Cloud Expertise: Advanced proficiency in AWS API Gateway or Azure API Management.
- Automation: Expert-level knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Architecture: Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and DevOps methodologies.
- Leadership: Proven track record in technical leadership and cross-functional team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Cloud Environments: Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and hybrid cloud configurations.
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
