AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental FactorsDuties are performed in a combination of office settings and in the field meeting with members in the community to include in their homes, at motels and shelters. Private means of transportation is required for necessary travel. Certain functions may require duty outside of normal work hours. Some resistance or objection to standards may be anticipated, requiring tact and diplomacy to achieve proper action. Duties involve need for effective working relationships with a number of health care disciplines.
Minimum QualificationsMaster of Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of full-time professional social work experience, which must include two (2) years or more in a health care setting.
NOTE: Must possess state of Vermont licensure as a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). An incumbent without Vermont Licensure at the time of hire must become licensed within the first six months of employment.
