Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator
Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator provides oversight for the conduct of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials. This role ensures compliance with trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines. The coordinator mentors and develops clinical study coordinators and research staff within the research enterprise, working closely with Core Managers to schedule clinical operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical trials in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  • Mentor and develop clinical study coordinators and research staff.
  • Collaborate with Core Managers to schedule and facilitate clinical research studies.
  • Assist with the supervision and annual evaluation of clinical research staff.
  • Maintain clinical competencies such as physical assessment, phlebotomy, and IV insertion.
  • Practice Universal Precautions and abide by HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and prepared clinical space, performing set-up and turnover procedures as needed.
  • Participate in training programs to maintain licensure.
  • Perform supervisory duties including selection, oversight, development, and performance management of research staff.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory levels, ordering equipment and supplies, and maintaining clinical supply areas.
  • Provide effective clinical research study coordination, planning, and management.
  • Collaborate with AHRI Core Managers to optimize workflow and scheduling.
  • Interface with AHRI Cores to ensure the initiation and completion of clinical trials.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for supervised teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of clinical operations.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Two years of clinical research experience
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC)
  • Current, active State of Florida Nursing License
  • BLS certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • Five years of clinical research experience with increasing people management responsibilities preferred
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Other relevant certifications such as medical assistant, medical technician, phlebotomy
Work Environment

The role is based in a dynamic clinical research setting, requiring collaboration with various inpatient and outpatient clinical areas. The coordinator will work closely with research teams to ensure efficient operations and adherence to all necessary protocols and guidelines.

This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
