Clinical Research Coordinator

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team, focusing on patient recruitment, screening, enrollment, informed consent, and follow-up communications. You will maintain accurate and timely documentation in study source documents, case report forms, and electronic databases. Collaboration with the Principal Investigator, study team, and clinical partners is essential to ensure study timelines and deliverables are met. You will also support data entry, scheduling, and general research operations as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient recruitment, screening, and enrollment.
• Obtain informed consent and conduct follow-up communications.
• Maintain accurate documentation in study source documents, case report forms, and electronic databases.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator, study team, and clinical partners.
• Support data entry, scheduling, and general research operations.
• Float across divisions and support visits as needed, potentially starting at 50 percent effort with variable hours.

• Experience in chart review and pre-screening patients.
• Background in oncology and internal medicine, specifically in rheumatology.
• Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator, particularly in cell therapy.
• Ability to manage complex trials independently.

• Clinical savvy with understanding of complex indications.
• Flexibility to float across divisions such as Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology.
• Ability to adapt to uncertain and variable enrollment volumes.

This role offers potential part-time flexibility, with the possibility to work on a PRN or per diem basis to accommodate enrollment progress and business needs. The work involves highly complicated cell therapy protocols, including chemotherapy and extended visit schedules. Initially, it is a 3–6 month contract with a guaranteed need through August, with the possibility of a warm handoff in July due to internal staffing transitions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
