  • Develop comprehensive clinical research budgets based on study protocols for both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials
  • Assess study feasibility, resource requirements, and cost structures to ensure accurate budget development
  • Lead budget negotiations with sponsors, ensuring full cost recovery and compliance with Medicare and regulatory guidelines
  • Serve as a key resource and backup for clinical research budgeting activities across studies
  • Review and validate payment terms prior to contract execution to ensure organizational requirements are met
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to billing milestones, invoicing, and protocol-related payments
  • Update and renegotiate budgets as needed based on protocol amendments
  • Support workload distribution, study assignments, and prioritization of budgeting activities
  • Lead or participate in departmental meetings and contribute to operational planning
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior staff members
  • Prepare data, reports, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Foster strong working relations
