Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) seeks an experienced Clinical Director II forMaternal & Child Services. This leadership role is responsible for managing the overall nursing operations and clinical services within the Emergency and Trauma units. The Clinical Director II will provide strategic direction and operational oversight by developing, planning, organizing, and evaluating systems, services, and staff through subordinate managers and supervisors. The position ensures adherence to county, state, and federal guidelines by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols while also recommending improvements to support best practices in patient care. The role is also responsible for maintaining excellence in nursing standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading the preparation of survey responses, corrective action plans, and ongoing survey readiness efforts. Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process:Incumbentsmust pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Certifications: Must maintain necessary certifications and complete on-going educational units/certifications required for assigned areas of responsibility.

Candidates must possess allof the following:

License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Certification: Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Experience:Four (4) years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital, with at least two (2) years of experience in a Maternal & Child Services unit, such as Mother & Baby, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics or Newborn Nursery. In addition, one (1) year must have been as a nurse manager or two (2) years as a full-scope supervisor over professional nursing staff. Supervisory duties must include responsibility for hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, counseling, and daily operational oversight. Experience may be concurrent.

Note:Clearly distinguish your experience as a supervisor or manager in your work history.

The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of experience in Mother & Baby, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics or Newborn Nursery in a large acute care teaching hospital. This candidate will also hold a Master's degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration or other relevant field with experience assessing, recommending and reconciling budgets.
