DescriptionDirector of Clinical Services (Part-Time)Protect Each One Consulting, LLC (DBA: The Counseling Spot)The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all clinical programs within The Counseling Spot virtual office located in the state of Alabama. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and evidence-based services while advancing positive client outcomes and maintaining compliance with regulatory and professional standards.The Director oversees the design, implementation, and continuous evaluation of clinical care systems, ensuring alignment with best practices in behavioral health. This position provides direct clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed clinicians and offers ongoing guidance to interdisciplinary staff to support safe, ethical, and effective service delivery.In this leadership capacity, the Director manages all aspects of clinical programming, including psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group therapy services, and treatment planning. The role also includes oversight of multidisciplinary team processes, discharge planning, and coordination of community-based resources to support continuity of care.Additionally, the Director may serve in a dual role as Chief Health Care Review Officer, leading organizational efforts to identify, analyze, and reduce disparities in care outcomes across diverse populations.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Program Oversight (requirement)Provide strategic direction and oversight of all clinical services and programmingEnsure clinical services are trauma-informed, evidence-based, and aligned with client needsOversee diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and documentation qualityMonitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiativesLead multidisciplinary team collaboration and care coordination processesEnsure compliance with NASW Code ethics and American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of EthicsSupervision & Staff Development (requirement)Provide and/or oversee clinical supervision in accordance with Alabama or any other state Board of Social Work licensure and requirementsSupport clinician onboarding, training, and ongoing professional developmentProvide individual and group supervision for employees under clinical supervision for clinical cases in accordance with state board of social work or counseling licensureFoster a culture of accountability, clinical excellence, and ethical practiceIdentify staff training needs and ensure ongoing competency developmentOperations & Compliance (requirement)Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and ethical standardsOversee clinical documentation, chart audits, and utilization review processesManage staffing plans, scheduling, and productivity aligned with client censusMaintain operational efficiency while ensuring high-quality care deliveryProgram Development & Community Engagement (As needed at the direction of CEO)Develop and implement clinical programs responsive to community and market needsCollaborate with leadership and marketing to support referral development and community partnershipsMaintain awareness of behavioral health trends, payer expectations, and local service gapsHealth Equity & Quality Improvement (As needed at the direction of CEO)Lead initiatives to identify and reduce healthcare disparitiesCollaborate with Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) effortsUtilize data, research, and outcomes to inform service delivery improvementsAdditional Expectations (requirement)Maintain a small clinical caseload (minimum of 10 clients per week) to remain connected to direct practiceParticipate in leadership rounds and ensure adherence to safety and quality standardsUphold organizational values of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical integrityEngage in continuous professional development and organizational initiativesQualificationsEducation & ExperienceMasters degree in clinical social work from an accredited institutionMinimum of 4 years of post-licensure clinical experience (excluding internships)Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical program management preferredLicensure & CertificationsLicensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama (required) and other states as requestedLicensed to Supervise in Alabama through Alabama Board of Social Work Licensure OfficeEligible to provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed cliniciansCPR and crisis intervention/de-escalation certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)Background Screening RequirementAll applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening process as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable Alabama laws and organizational policies.The screening process may include, but is not limited to:Criminal History Background CheckVerification of any criminal convictions through state and/or national databases, consistent with Alabama law and job-related requirements.Child Protective Services (CPS) Registry CheckReview of the Alabama Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry, when applicable to positions involving work with vulnerable populations, including children and families.License VerificationVerification of current, active, and unrestricted professional licensure (e.g., LCSW) through the Alabama Board of Social Work, including review of any disciplinary actions.Education and Employment VerificationConfirmation of academic credentials and relevant work history.Additional Screenings (as applicable)May include reference checks, sanctions checks, and other screenings required for compliance with payer, regulatory, or organizational standards.Salary range$50 -
