JOB SUMMARY: To assess and provide internal and external resources to enhance the quality of potential clients and current client care.?To plan and coordinate a variety of social outing?opportunities?throughout the community to provide a vibrant and active community life for residential clients.??Must?desire?to work with?people?with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage A New Leaf waiting list(s)?and incoming inquiries?by communicating with potential client and/or potential client representative to?determine?the most?appropriate recommendations?for programming?based on clients’ needs,?preferences,?and?abilities.????
  • Coordinate, manage and attend area Resource Fairs.?Attend quarterly DDS Regional Family Meetings.?Attend?area conferences as a resource vendor that are pertinent to the population served.?
  • Create and?maintain?a tracking system for the number of referrals and what programming/resource they were referred to (from phone calls, waiting lists, resource fairs?etc.)
  • Research, plan, coordinate and at times?participate?in a variety of social events/outings – including physical, intellectual, educational, spiritual, and special interest activities based on clients' needs and outcomes.??Develop a monthly event/activity calendar and?encourage clients to?participate.
  • Serve as the Advisor for an active chapter of People First for the community of Owasso.?
  • Manage/oversee the Client Health and Wellness Initiative. Attend all task force/initiative meetings, plan, lead and?participate?in quarterly activities for the clients, run quarterly reports on reported heath data in Therap, update Health and Wellness Guide as needed, train staff and clients on the resources provided in the Health and Wellness Guide.?
  • Plan, organize and lead the quarterly Tenant Association meetings. Create event flyers and invite all tenants, develop an agenda for the meetings,?select officers, provide a training piece at all meetings, and?maintain?a sign in sheet for attendees.?
  • Serve as A New Leaf’s representative on The Bloomers Committee – a parent group.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to benefit the mission of the organization.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, including dependable vehicle/transportation to and from work, and automobile insurance coverage at all times, to ensure you are eligible to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Work flexible schedule based on the those served by and the needs of A New Leaf, Inc., including but not limited to working scheduled evenings or weekends based on the department/event need.
  • Expressed desire to work with as well as a positive attitude when working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive equally in a team oriented or autonomous environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work?field preferred and/or minimum of four years of any combination of college level education and/or full-time equivalent experience in serving people with disabilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer/Prolonged period of standing, outdoor, and interactive activities.
  • Bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 30lbs.
