Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive year over year revenue growth by advancing opportunities through all pipeline stages to contract execution, exceeding spend volume and revenue growth targets.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
  • Develop a deep understanding of members’ strategic business goals and challenges to identify performance improvement, cost savings and value-add solutions.
  • Present a strong understanding of healthcare operations, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting, performance improvement solutions, and spend analytics across the acute and non-acute care class of trades.
  • Leverage data insights to deliver actionable value-based recommendations across multiple spend categories.
  • Develop and support vendor on-boarding and continuing education plans to ensure breadth and depth of knowledge related to Supply Chain Services portfolio.
  • Administer Vizient programs (Aggregation, Impact Standardization, Novaplus, Group Buys, Advisory Solutions) and leverage best practices in high impact areas like physician preference management, pharmacy, lab, dietary, capital and purchased services.
  • Develop and conduct regular business reviews and executive briefings to communicate roadmap progress, value delivered and strategic cost savings recommendations to clients.
  • Negotiate and facilitate contract execution, contract tier alignment, supplier issue resolution and ensure client compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and business development activities within the organization's CRM system.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in business development, account management roles, preferably within a Group Purchasing Organization or healthcare supply chain.
  • Supply logistics experience with acute and non-acute care systems, a plus.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain operations, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting, and spend analysis required.
  • A results-driven mindset, with a focus on client retention, growth, and overall satisfaction.
  • Proven experience in year over year revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex client relationships.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, capable of working with a variety of client stakeholders and product and services vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and analytical tools.
