2nd Shift - Sorrento Valley

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Cleanroom Technician, where you will assemble panels for medical devices and laser process components, following detailed instructions in various forms. Your role will include inspecting parts for quality, performing micro laser ablation and etching, and ensuring accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble panels for medical devices and laser process components based on drawings, written, or verbal instructions.
  • Inspect parts for quality and defects.
  • Perform micro laser ablation and measurement of arterial stents.
  • Conduct micro laser etching of dental implant parts.
  • Enter data, fill out job travelers, and complete certificates of conformance.
  • Sign off on travelers and create labels for parts.
  • Work on new customer projects each week, adapting to varying work instructions.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to assemble medical devices in a production and cleanroom environment.
  • Experience with machine operation and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to act independently in a manufacturing role.
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in medical devices.
  • Experience in quality assurance, inspection, and using a microscope.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a startup and R&D environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with calipers and micrometers, and experience in measuring parts.
  • Background in quality control and capability to perform machine setup readings.

Work Environment

Work the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with training on the first shift. Enjoy an 8-hour workday with paid overtime opportunities on Saturdays. Join a project-based manufacturing team in a cleanroom environment, where adaptability and priority shifting are key. You will be sitting most of the day with the option to stand, and must be comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.61 - $24.61/hr.
