Job Title: Industrial Cleaner

Pay Rate: $20–$21 per hour, based on experience

Location: Site-to-site work based in Eagan

Job Summary

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining commercial and industrial facilities, with a strong focus on floor care. This role involves operating industrial cleaning equipment, safely handling cleaning chemicals, and ensuring floors, carpets, and common areas remain clean, presentable, and well‑maintained. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and flexibility to work primarily evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain commercial and industrial buildings to meet established cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Operate industrial floor scrubbers, carpet cleaning equipment, carpet extractors, and truck‑mounted carpet cleaning systems.
  • Use floor buffers to strip, clean, and polish a variety of flooring surfaces.
  • Perform carpet spot cleaning to remove stains and maintain appearance.
  • Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to proper use, storage, and safety guidelines.
  • Apply floor chemicals for stripping, sealing, polishing, and routine maintenance.
  • Remove old epoxy floor coatings and reapply epoxy coatings as required.
  • Perform general janitorial duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Follow assigned cleaning schedules while adapting to changing priorities as needed.
  • Lift, move, and transport cleaning equipment and materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Work primarily late second‑shift hours, with flexibility to occasionally support morning or weekend shifts.
Essential Qualifications
  • Previous experience cleaning commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Experience operating industrial floor scrubbers and carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Hands‑on experience with carpet extractors; experience with truck‑mounted systems preferred.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate floor buffers.
  • Experience in janitorial, carpet cleaning, or industrial cleaning work.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to work late second‑shift hours (approximately 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.).
  • Flexibility to work occasional morning and weekend shifts.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in industrial or large‑scale commercial cleaning environments.
  • Familiarity with applying and removing epoxy floor coatings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, orderly facilities.
  • Proven reliability and consistency in following cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in commercial and industrial facilities and involves site‑to‑site work in the Eagan area. The role operates primarily during late second‑shift hours, typically between 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., with occasional morning and weekend shifts as needed. The work is physical and includes standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Employees use industrial floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, truck‑mounted carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning chemicals in large open areas, office spaces, and high‑traffic environments. Proper work attire suitable for an industrial setting is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
