Davies Talent Solutions is partnering a with a well-established organization, seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor to lead and oversee operations liability claims asserted against MTA.


This role is ideal for a seasoned claims professional who enjoys leading adjusters, auditing complex files, coordinating litigation, and managing high‑exposure transit claims, including serious bodily injury and wrongful death.

💼 What You’ll Oversee & Handle

• Supervision of Claims Representatives handling MTA operations liability claims

• Tort, property/casualty, general liability, and subrogation claims

• Oversight of investigations, reserve accuracy, settlement exposure, and documentation

• Monthly claim suit reviews and file audits (minimum 3 files per adjuster)

• Litigation coordination and authority management with Defense Counsel

• Approval and oversight of settlements, denials, and check requests

• Complaint resolution and escalated claimant issues

• Performance evaluations, attendance tracking, and staff mentoring

• Ensuring compliance with MTA Claims Manual and TIG policies

• Coordination of new loss assignments and initial claim file setup

• Direct communication with claimants, witnesses, operators, insurers, and counsel

• Testimony at hearings, depositions, and trials as required


What We’re Looking For

Claims management or supervisory experience required

• Strong background in auto PD, bodily injury, general liability, and subrogation claims

• Experience auditing claim files and managing authority levels

• Proven ability to guide adjusters on investigations, evaluations, and settlements

• Familiarity working with Defense Counsel and high‑exposure litigation

• Knowledge of Maryland tort, property/casualty, general liability, and subrogation law


Education & Experience Requirements (One of the following):

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of claims experience

• OR High school diploma/equivalent plus 8+ years of claims experience

• Insurance designations (CPCU, AIC, or CLA) may substitute for one year of experience
