The ideal candidate will oversee and manage claims within a construction program. A comprehensive understanding of New York City Labor Law, substantial experience with construction claims, and the capacity to coordinate effectively with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and legal defense partners are required for this role. Responsibilities include managing, analyzing, and reviewing all claims within our claims system. Additionally, directing and guiding our TPA will be essential to ensure consistent adherence to best practices for claims. Close collaboration with the Head of Claims will be necessary to guarantee that all client claims are addressed efficiently and properly. The candidate must also work directly with TPAs and defense counsel, fostering strong, professional relationships. Coordinating with defense panels on active claims is crucial, along with ensuring timely communication and updates. It will be important to monitor TPA activities for compliance with established policies, procedures, and performance standards. The position will involve overseeing and assisting with all tasks related to claims, ensuring precision, efficiency, and conformity to program requirements.


A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling construction claims is required. The candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of NYC Labor Law, especially as it pertains to construction issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking capabilities. A demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams and management is essential.
