Position Overview: Civil/Structural Engineer

As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality design solutions and technical support across a variety of projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work within established project schedules and deadlines
  • Review and apply relevant design criteria, codes, and standards
  • Define project scope and clearly establish deliverables
  • Design and analyze foundations for heavy equipment and structural systems
  • Design and evaluate industrial buildings, including mill structures
  • Develop fall protection systems in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Perform structural modifications and upgrades to crane runways, including load capacity analysis and reinforcement design
  • Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (PE licensure not required)
  • 3–5 years of experience applying civil/structural engineering principles
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interface with clients regarding project status and deliverables
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for meetings and data collection


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with STAAD or similar structural analysis software
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., Technical Report No. 13, CMAA, AIST TR-6, AISC)
  • Experience working in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
