Location: This position is based in Charlottesville, VA and is primarily on-site. We are looking for someone who wants to be an active part of the local office, team, and community.
Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and have 2+ years of civil litigation experience.

Job Description
- Handle a wide range of civil litigation matters from case development through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful analysis on case strategy and client matters.
- Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Work closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and staff to move cases forward efficiently.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties in a professional and responsive manner.
- Support complex litigation strategy while continuing to develop your own litigation skills and judgment.
- Contribute to a professional, team-oriented environment that values integrity, hard work, and client service.
Qualifications
- Virginia Bar license required.
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience required.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, depositions, or trial preparation.
- Ability to work well with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside parties.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment.
- Hardworking, energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality legal work.
