Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer (EIT) – 3–5 Years Experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer (EIT) with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing team in Houston. This role will support the planning, design, and execution of a variety of civil engineering projects, including land development, infrastructure, and site design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and preparation of civil engineering plans, including grading, drainage, paving, and utilities
• Perform site layout, stormwater management, and erosion control design
• Support project managers with project coordination, scheduling, and client communication
• Prepare calculations, reports, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience (land development preferred)
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with Houston-area codes and permitting processes is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hydrology/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, Hydraflow)
• Exposure to TxDOT or municipal projects
• Progression toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
