Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description

A Civil Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they meet safety standards and regulations while addressing environmental impacts. Our projects will focus on land development standards that comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee construction projects with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop land development projects that adhere to local, state, and federal standards.
  • Use Civil 3D to design sites, including parking, sidewalks, grading, utilities, erosion controls, and stormwater management.
  • Ensure compliance with stormwater regulations, including detention and retention requirements.
  • Meet with clients and government agencies throughout the design process.
  • Manage design projects from conception to completion, overseeing all aspects.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplined design teams and work independently as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and land development.

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Experience in multi-disciplined design teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related design field preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • NC and SC PE licenses are a plus; must obtain for Charlotte location.
  • 7+ years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Experience with stormwater detention/retention and low impact development (LID) practices is a plus.
  • Federal work experience, particularly with DoD and industrial projects.
  • Experience in design and permitting of stormwater management facilities and erosion control.
  • Experience in large campus industrial work is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
