Position Summary
A growing engineering organization is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join its civil engineering team. This role involves working on diverse site development projects supporting community, institutional, and infrastructure improvements. The position offers the opportunity to manage projects from design through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and/or oversee civil and site design for a variety of projects
- Develop site plans for public, institutional, and commercial developments
- Design grading plans and site improvements
- Utilize Civil 3D or similar CAD software to produce engineering drawings and plans
- Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical data
- Evaluate existing site conditions to identify engineering challenges and project impacts
- Support construction activities, including shop drawing review and coordination with field teams
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project success
- Manage project schedules, priorities, and deliverables to meet deadlines and budget requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of civil/site design experience
- Experience designing site development plans and improvements
- Proficiency with Civil 3D or similar CAD software
- Ability to analyze engineering data and produce technical documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure
- 6+ years of related experience
- Experience with stormwater design and site drainage systems
- Experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
- Familiarity with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software
- Strong communication and client-facing experience
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Work Environment
- Office-based role with periodic field and construction site visits
- Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions
- Frequent computer-based work
- May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
