Job Title: Licensed Adolescent Therapist – Residential Behavioral Health

Location: Peoria, Arizona

Hours & Schedule: Full-Time; Regular business hours

Work Environment: Residential Treatment Center (Adolescent-Focused Setting)

Salary / Hourly Rate: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience

Job Summary:

An established residential behavioral health program in Peoria, Arizona is seeking a Licensed Adolescent Therapist to join its clinical team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide impactful therapeutic services to adolescents facing complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. The role is ideal for a licensed behavioral health professional who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to adolescent residents
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans aligned with best clinical practices
  • Collaborate with families, school systems, and referring providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the EMR system
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical consultations
  • Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral support within the residential setting
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in adolescent mental health


Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
  • Active Arizona licensure (LAC, LPC, LCSW) or eligibility for licensure within 90 days
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with adolescents
  • Strong knowledge of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health diagnoses
  • Specialized training in trauma-informed care, DBT, or systemic family therapy preferred
