Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Senior Living | Property Management | Agriculture | Construction
Position Overview
We are a privately held, owner-led organization with diversified operations across senior living, property management, farming/agriculture, and construction. We move quickly, pursue opportunities with conviction, and are not afraid to take calculated risks in pursuit of growth. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer who is built for that environment — someone who can provide financial discipline and clear-eyed analysis while remaining a trusted partner to ownership as we continue to grow.
This is a hands-on executive role that requires equal parts strategic thinking and operational execution. The right person is a strong communicator, a dependable team leader, and someone who takes genuine ownership of their work. You will be a key voice at the leadership table that consists of ownership, President of Construction, and COO — and you will need to be comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-moving organization where priorities can shift and decisiveness is valued.
Partnering with an Entrepreneurial Owner
A critical aspect of this role is the ability to work effectively alongside an owner with a high-risk tolerance and an entrepreneurial approach to growth. This is not a role for someone who leads with "no" or who is most comfortable in a slow-moving, committee-driven environment. The ideal CFO for our organization will:
• Works well with executive leadership team that consists of the owner, President of Construction, and COO to make all decisions for the organization
• Provide honest, well-reasoned financial analysis that helps the leadership team to make informed decisions — quickly
• Understand the difference between uncalculated risk and strategic risk, and be able to communicate that distinction with clarity and confidence
• Structure deals, acquisitions, and capital deployments in ways that protect the business while preserving the agility ownership depends on
• Raise concerns directly and professionally — then get behind the decision once it is made
• Build financial systems and controls that create a foundation for growth
• Stay steady and solutions-oriented when the pace of change is high and ambiguity is present
• Serve as a professional and credible representative of the organization in all interactions with bankers, investors, legal counsel and community partners
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals and fuel continued growth across all divisions
• Deliver forward-looking financial insights, forecasts, and scenario plans that enable confident, timely decision-making by ownership and leadership
• Serve as a true strategic partner — engaged, direct, and always focused on the long-term health of the business
• Evaluate acquisitions, expansions, and investment opportunities with rigor and present clear recommendations
Financial Operations
• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting
• Manage multi-entity and inter-company accounting structures with accuracy and discipline
• Deliver timely and reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Implement and maintain internal controls that protect the organization
Audit & Compliance
• Lead external audits, reviews, and compilations across all entities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Establish audit-ready documentation standards and processes
• Identify and proactively communicate financial and operational risks to ownership

Cash & Capital Management
• Optimize cash flow, liquidity, and working capital across all divisions — with an eye toward both stability and opportunity
• Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and debt structures; negotiate with confidence
• Lead budgeting and capital expenditure planning in a way that supports both operational needs and growth initiatives
Team Leadership
• Build, lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
• Lead the accounting team to partner with operations to improve processes across entities
• Set a standard of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the accounting department
• Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization — from direct reports to ownership
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and consistently meet organizational deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Who We're Looking For

• Successful at developing and training a strong accounting team
• Brings consistent energy and a steady presence that others can rely on, especially when the pace is high
• Is loyal to the organization and the people in it — committed for the long term, not just the next opportunity
• Has a strong work ethic and holds themselves to a high standard without being asked
• Can operate both at a high level and in the details — and knows when each is required
• Handles ambiguity and rapid change without losing focus or composure
• Leads with integrity, even when it is inconvenient
