We’re seeking a Chief Discipline Engineer to lead Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls teams within a high‑performing EPC organization delivering complex power generation projects across nuclear, conventional, renewable, and power delivery markets.

This role offers a rare opportunity to set technical direction, mentor top engineering talent, and influence projects that will serve communities for generations to come.

Why This Role Matters

This organization designs and builds mission‑critical infrastructure that supports energy reliability, sustainability, and long‑term resilience. With a strong backlog of work and a commitment to continuous improvement, we invest deeply in our people, our processes, and our future.

You’ll join a culture defined by:

  • Safety—without compromise
  • Integrity and accountability in everything we do
  • Inclusive, collaborative teams
  • Long‑term career growth and leadership development
  • Responsible, sustainable construction practices

The Opportunity

As Chief Discipline Engineer, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for the Electrical and I&C disciplines. You’ll ensure engineering excellence, resource readiness, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with lead engineering leadership and project teams.

This is both a technical authority and people‑leadership role, ideal for a seasoned engineer who enjoys shaping strategy as much as solving complex challenges.

What You’ll Do

Technical & Discipline Leadership
  • Establish and continuously improve discipline work processes, standards, and tools
  • Lead selection, implementation, and governance of design and analytical software
  • Serve as the lead technical authority and subject‑matter expert for Electrical and I&C
  • Guide interpretation of codes, standards, and permitting requirements
  • Perform independent engineering reviews to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with project objectives
Project & Business Support
  • Support project teams in design basis development, specifications, evaluations, and key technical decisions
  • Assist in engineering planning, scheduling, staffing, and cost estimating
  • Partner with Business Development on proposals and client presentations
  • Analyze discipline performance metrics (cost, schedule, productivity, rework) and lead corrective actions when required
People & Organizational Leadership
  • Lead staffing strategy, recruiting, mentoring, and professional development
  • Identify high‑potential talent and support succession planning
  • Oversee performance management, salary administration, and workforce planning
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Capture and implement lessons learned to elevate future project execution
Strategic Engagement
  • Collaborate with experienced leadership on engineering strategy and business planning
  • Contribute to long‑term growth, capability development, and market success

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited institution
  • 12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience designing conventional and/or nuclear power generation facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (with ability to obtain additional licenses via comity)
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team‑building capabilities
  • Deep understanding of engineering quality, constructability, and project execution
  • Experience with project performance metrics (CPI/SPI) and recovery planning
  • Proficiency in tools such as P6, PRISM, or similar project performance systems
  • Exceptional communication skills and a detail‑oriented mindset
  • Strategic awareness of business objectives and client success

Citizenship Requirement

Due to access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations, U.S. citizenship is required.
