In Process Chemist

Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate IQ, OQ, PQ for equipment
• Generate change control for new equipment
• Train and follow SOP, Safety and GMP Generate Laboratory Test Methods
• Test all chemical & physical properties required for in-process and finished products
• Release and approve in process and finished products
• Investigate and report OOS to appropriate department
• Maintain proficiency in all laboratory processes and procedures
• Perform daily and/or monthly calibration of analytical instrumentation
• Send equipment to outside calibration company before due date
• Create and maintain valid standards
• Generate and submit products to preliminary Certificate of Analysis
• Issue/check batch cards for completeness and accuracy
• Perform and submit requirements for cleaning validation
• Assist on checking sanitizing solution if needed
• Assist and get trained on checking requalification of raw materials in wet chem
• Provide guidance or train In-Process Lab employees and new employee
• Archive monthly product retains
• Archive yearly quality control documentation
• Maintain inventory of supplies, and supporting paperwork
• Maintain cleanliness and laboratory housekeeping

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or any science related field
• Daily chemical/ physical analysis associated with QC Laboratory and Manufacturing
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Pay: $24/hr.
